Ford BALLIN’24

Australia’s top representative teams will converge for the first time ever for Ford BALLIN’24 – an international series against China and Japan at Melbourne’s, John Cain Arena from 2 – 5 July 2024.

The Boomers, Opals, Rollers and Gliders will face off against international rivals, China in a series of world class match ups. While the Gangurrus 3X3 Men and Women teams will battle it out against Japan. Be part of history as John Cain Arena turns green and gold for a festival of basketball this July.

Brian Goorjan’s Boomers are going to be near full strength, with NBA talent such as Josh Giddey, Matisse Thybulle and Dyson Daniels on display against the Chinese Men’s basketball team.

The Opals lineup includes stars such as, Tess Madgen, Cayla George and Lauren Jackson. The Gangarrus are fresh off Asia Cup Gold Medals and will showcase the 3 on 3 format that first appeared in the Olympics in Tokyo 2020 and will appear in 2024.

Australia’s successful wheelchair teams; the Rollers (Men’s) and Gliders (Women’s) will also be playing throughout the four day basketball showcase at John Cain Arena.

From high-flying dunks to nail-biting buzzer-beaters, the action-packed schedule promises excitement for all basketball fans.

BALLIN’24 Melbourne takes over John Cain Arena Tuesday 2nd July, Wednesday 3rd July, Thursday 4th July and Friday 5th July with two epic sessions per day.

Day sessions will bring you an action packed day with a mix of Australia’s wheelchair teams, the Rollers and Gliders taking on Japan and the fast paced and exciting 3X3 format will be played by the Australian Men and Women Gangurrus against China.

The showcase games will see the Boomers and Opals take on the National Chinese Men and Women teams.

Tickets will be on sale via Ticketek from 10am, Tuesday 23rd April.

Day session ticket prices are $5 for children and $10 Adults.

Opals game tickets start from $9 for children and $29 for adults.

Boomers game tickets start from $39 for children and $59 for adults.
